Concord, Ontario, Canada, September 28, 2009 - DCL International Inc., is pleased to announce that The City of Lincoln, located in Lancaster County Nebraska will retrofit 46 pieces of the city's diesel construction equipment with DCL's MINE-X® Catalytic Mufflers. The City of Lincoln was a recipient of DERA (Diesel Emission Reduction Act) economic stimulus funding in the sum of $1,000,000 to retrofit a total of 196 publicly owned diesel vehicles and equipment in The Lincoln-Lancaster County Clean Diesel Project. The directive of the project for off-road equipment is to provide reductions of 90% carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons as well as 20% diesel particulate matter from the exhaust. Equipment that will be retrofitted with DCL's MINE-X® Catalytic Mufflers include Caterpillar wheel loaders, scrapers and backhoes, John Deere scrapers and backhoes, and Case wheel loaders and tractors.

The MINE-X® Catalytic Muffler is a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) designed to replace the original equipment (OE) muffler. The product is installed by simply removing the original muffler and installing the catalytic muffler in its place, utilizing the same pipe connections, mounting points, brackets, straps etc. The MINE-X® Catalytic Muffler dramatically reduces carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC) and exhaust irritants with very little back- pressure restriction on the engine and no loss of power. There are no maintenance requirements for the life of the product.
